Information You Submit
Queries Sent to Search Providers
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party company that operates that tool. Cedar County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s policy governs its receipt, use, retention, and protection of the query.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or contact-form message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. A message is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law. Do not submit sensitive custody, financial, medical, or identity data that is not needed for the request.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Ordinary web services create technical records when a page loads. Those records may contain:
- The internet protocol address used for the request
- The browser name and version
- The device category and operating system
- The pages opened and time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is supplied
- The date and time of each request
Cookies and Similar Storage
Cookies may help measure how visitors use the site and support site functions. Browser controls can refuse or remove cookies. Blocking them may cause some features, partner tools, or preferences to work differently.
How Information Is Used
Information is used for limited operational and service purposes, including:
- Keeping pages available, stable, and responsive
- Sending a search request to the selected outside provider
- Understanding which Cedar County resources visitors use
- Finding errors, abuse, and other technical problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
Privacy on Linked Services
Links may lead to Cedar County release records, Sheriff and detention pages, Missouri corrections tools, court portals, federal locators, or private search services. Missouri government record access may be governed by Chapter 610, RSMo, along with other agency rules and legal limits. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination’s own privacy policy and terms apply.
Some advertising companies may use their systems to recognize activity across websites and select interest-based ads. That tracking occurs through the advertising partner’s technology, not through an official Cedar County records system.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may be provided or transmitted only as needed to these categories of recipients:
- Search partners that process a submitted query
- Analytics providers that measure site use
- Advertising networks that deliver or measure ads
- Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order
Reasonable Security Measures
We use standard administrative and technical practices intended to protect information under our control. No website, transmission method, or internet-connected storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Cedar County Released Inmates therefore cannot promise that unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under eighteen. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted personal information, use the Contact Us page to request review and deletion.
Your Data Choices
Subject to applicable law and the ability to verify the requester, a person may ask us to:
- Provide a copy of personal data we hold about that person
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete personal data that is eligible for erasure
- Stop certain processing where an opt-out right applies
